Beneath is a family tree of the known descendants of Rev. Richard JACKSON of Kirkby Lonsdale
and his two wives: Dorothy OTWAY & Jane CARTER. With these two wives, he sired twenty
living children, many of whom made a significant impact on Ireland from the
mid-1600s onwards. Much of this impact was positive, but not all of it. Let’s
just say that some of them, like the JACKSONs of Coleraine, lived life large. I
will describe some of their exploits - and exploit being the operative word - in a later post.
I have inserted three NOTEs – and will
expand on them, again in a later blog post. I am noting them here because they are the nub of my rationale for
suspecting that the JACKSONs of Forkhill, Co. Armagh are related to the
JACKSONs of Urker, Co. Armagh. Until I can both write and then post the next bit, there is at least a wealth of
research material at your fingertips. The links connect to my rootsweb
tree, which I update on a regular basis.
