Your Jacksons most likely knew my Shegog ancestors, who were solicitors in Dublin and Drogeda. (Shegog is an odd name - I still don't know the origin. I looks Dutch so maybe they came with William of Orange). John Shegog was mayor of Drogheda in 1839 and a town concillor in 1852.<br /><br />There are two St Peter's churches,one Catholic, one Church of Ireland.
